Can you Help??? Your donations to the Club can be tax deductable

The redevelopment has cost a lot of (the bank’s) money, and the Club is appealing for monetary pledges from members, their families, and friends, to minimise the time needed to pay it all back and to help cover all the running costs for the Club.   In addition to the redevelopment costs, there are also on-going and future costs for upgrades to the pitch lighting, and maintenance and general improvements which need to be covered, some of which can be quite unexpected and expensive. We also want to ensure that we are reasonably well prepared for the eventual replacement of the current pitch, in (we reckon) about ten years - we don't want to go through all those financial woes again!

A particular added incentive for contributions is that the club has achieved tax-deductability for donations for the facility redevelopment, on the condition that they are made to the Australian Sports Foundation Ltd. (ASF), which was established by the Australian Government to assist organisations to raise funds through public & corporate donations for the development of sport in Australia.

Donors must contribute unconditionally to the ASF to claim a tax deduction, however the ASF’s structure makes it possible for a donor to nominate a registered project as the preferred beneficiary of their gift. Adelaide Hockey Club Inc.– AHC Facility Redevelopment, project no. 208350, is registered with and conducted under the charter of the ASF.
